Our Year 5 students take action to help Turkey and Syria

Thanks to the initiative of our Year 5 students, we are raising funds to help those affected by the recent earthquake in Turkey and Syria. When the recent earthquakes happened, the students came out with the idea of raising funds for the Turkish NGO Ahbap. They contacted the organisation and have prepared all the fundraising campaign that has been launched on our social media channels.

The donations can be made at school. The Student Council has left a box at reception for that purpose. Let’s join forces and make an impact together!

The PYP‘s Taking Action initiative focuses on five essential elements: Participation, Advocacy, Social Justice, Social Entrepreneurship, and Lifestyle Choices. We believe that by encouraging learners to engage with these elements of action and taking meaningful steps towards making a difference, we can bring real and positive change in the world. This is why we are proud of them for organizing this initiative in order to raise funds for those affected by the recent earthquakes in Turkey and Syria.
