Two of Our Students Win the Philosophy Olympiad of Catalonia

Ingrid Rojo and Clara Chanivet, St PETER’S students in Years 10 and 12, respectively, have made history by being named the joint winners of this year’s Philosophy Olympiad of Catalonia. Ingrid won for Moral Dilemma (Year 10 – 4th Eso), while Clara earned her award for Philosophical Dissertation (Baccalaureate students). The opening speech was delivered by one of our former students, Raquel Sánchez, winner of the 2018 and 2019 editions. An esteemed annual event before national and international Olympiads, the Catalonia Philosophy Olympiad is a highly coveted prize!

The question posed for the dissertation category was, “Should citizens disobey immigration laws that violate human rights and assume risks and costs that may arise?” Regarding the moral dilemma, it can be consulted here.
