“What am I?” A funny game to practice Thinking & Learning Skills

The aim of the ‘Thinking & Learning Skills’ lessons is to steer pupils away from the belief that being good at thinking and learning is limited to those who are conventionally ‘clever’.

Year 1, alongside Miss Elizabeth, have been developing their team working skills in order to devise a ‘What Am I?’ game which they shared with the children of Year 3.

This game allowed the students the opportunity to work on certain dispositions of an active thinker and learner such as cooperation and collaboration, courage, self-belief, curiosity and enthusiasm among many others. It was also fun and provided us with the opportunity to enjoy an activity together.

Everyone – regardless of ability – can learn to improve their potential by developing positive thinking and learning dispositions.
