Last week, the entire St PETER’S SCHOOL community came together to participate in the now traditional Jeans For Genes, a charitable initiative through which we raised an incredible 1,878.03 euros for the Institute of Biomedical Research (IRB). This contribution will help IRB scientists advance their mission to find better treatments for cancer patients with metastasis.
The initiative was led by the Year 10 Biology students, who encouraged everyone to wear jeans as a symbol of awareness for genetic diseases. Their commitment to science and solidarity doesn’t end here: next month, they will have the opportunity to visit the IRB facilities and see firsthand the groundbreaking research that is making a difference in the fight against cancer.
This activity strengthens our role as an educational community committed to the values of science, empathy, and contributing to social progress. Thank you to everyone who participated and supported this noble cause!
