St PETER’S Hosts the IB Directors and Coordinators Meeting in Collaboration with ASIBI

On March 27th, St PETER’S served as the meeting point for leaders in international education, hosting the Encuentro de Directores y Coordinadores IB in partnership with ASIBI (Asociación Ibérica de Colegios IB).

The event brought together influential voices in IB education, including Antonio Muñoz, Senior Manager at IB World Schools, and Pilar Moreno, President of ASIBI. The goal? To foster collaboration, exchange ideas, and strengthen the network that supports IB learners and educators across the Iberian Peninsula.

“From the IB’s perspective, having strategic partners is essential to spreading the values of the International Baccalaureate and to supporting and sustaining key initiatives,” said Antonio Muñoz.
“Events like this open the door to more informal meetings, spark dialogue between schools, and facilitate the exchange of ideas—all crucial to continued progress.”

Pilar Moreno echoed this sentiment, highlighting the importance of ASIBI’s role:

“Being part of ASIBI is vital for any IB school. The association provides guidance, organizes official workshops, strengthens knowledge, and offers support to teachers, coordinators, and most importantly, students.”

She also praised the host institution, stating:

“Schools like St. Peter’s are true examples for the IB community. They reflect the IB learner and educator profile exceptionally well, they are highly active, and they bring critical discussions to the table—discussions that ultimately raise the educational standards of our country.”

This encounter reflects the commitment of St PETER’S and ASIBI to building a stronger, more connected IB community—one that empowers students and educators to thrive in a global context.
