Over the last two weeks you have probably noticed several models with IED (Istituto Europeo di Design) posters next to them. The IED organised some exhibits to provoke thinking about what Design is. To complete the exhibition, our Cultural Management students put their skills to the test and designed an educational activity to share their knowledge with younger students.
The idea was that the activity should be dynamic, interesting, educational but, in particular, it should encourage students to think about the steps involved in all aspects of design. They finally decided to prepare a guided tour for Classes 1 & 2 and were pleasantly surprised by the amount of comments, questions and intelligent remarks made by their young peers. There were suggestions on the colour of the design, the possible uses and interpretations… See for yourselves.
A couple of days later, Classes 3 and 4 saw a presentation of the models during their weekly assembly. The reaction was great, they all wanted to become designers in the future!
Thank to everyone involved and specially to IED for their exhibits.
