Celebrating Our Community’s Accomplishments in the First Term
As the festive season approaches, we can’t help but reflect on all that we have achieved over the past four months since the Welcome Fair kicked off the school year. It seems like just yesterday that we were all coming together as a community, eager to learn and grow together.
Throughout this first term, we have enjoyed morning coffees on a variety of topics, including science, conceptual learning, and university orientation. We have come together to honor our internationality through fairs and special events, and we have welcomed Christmas with festive shows and visits from our parents.
In addition to these community events, we have also embarked on a number of new projects aligned with our Education Project such as: utilizing Minecraft to design sustainable urban spaces, creating comics to explore the brain’s potential from scientific and philosophical views, investigating economics at primary school level, and adopting futures literacy as an aid for better understanding current events that could shape our future.
Here is a brief summary of the first term.
As we take a break for the holidays, we look forward to sharing more about our plans for the upcoming year with you. We also want to express our gratitude for your participation in the silent auction at the Gala Party, which was held for the first time this year. The proceeds, totaling 2.000€, have already been donated to St Joan de Déu Hospital for cancer research involving children.
We are so grateful for all of the hard work and dedication of our students and families in making this academic year a success. It hasn’t always been easy, but your efforts have helped our community thrive. Thank you all for your participation and involvement.
As this term comes to a close, we want to highlight the meeting of our Open Innovation Committee (OIC). The OIC, which consists of external experts from diferent fields and teachers representatives, works together regularly to improve our curriculum. The outcomes of this second session will be a source of inspiration for the refinement of our curriculum. We will provide further details on these developments after the break.
Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2023. We look forward to seeing you on January 9th!
P.S. We would like to share with you a few pictures of the Gala Party:
