Andrea García Silva, St. Peter’s Alumnus
Andrea Garcia Silva graduated from St. Peter’s in 2017. Since then, she has completed her university degree in Communication, Public Relations, and Advertising at the International University of Catalonia and has worked in marketing and communication. Recently, Andrea decided to join the Indigo Foundation and launch her Arena Project to help the children’s community on Mfangano Island, Kenya. It is an ambitious, exciting and practical project whose actions are dedicated to improving the daily lives of 150 children.
In collaboration with the Indigo Foundation, and with the help of the school catering company Saned, a visit to Mfangano Island was organized before getting down to work and joining in with their efforts. Once in contact with the local community, Andrea helped in the design of a T-shirt to raise funds for the project. The project aims to build a better water channel, improve the school classrooms and village fence, as well as distribute books to the local children.
